Wrongly Convicted

My name is Jesus M. Jova formally known as Robert D'Lucca. In March of 1994, a small red car drove away from a party in East New York, Brooklyn. The car paused at a stop sign on the intersection of Miller Ave and Hegemen Ave. A man walked to that car and began firing a 9 millimeter into the side window. As a result, two young teenagers lied dead and two more were wounded. I was accused of this crime, but I am innocent.

I was tried and convicted in the winter of 1994 and was sentenced to 75 years to life. My conviction was based on the testimony of two surviving victims who both had extensive rap sheets. In 2007, a witness came forward who saw the actual crime and testified as to who the shooter actually was, based on this statement and other witnesses to the actual crime and the recanting of the two original witnesses, the court granted me a hearing in 2011.

The recanting witnesses testified to the court  that they were pressured by the ADA and cops to testify against me. However, because of the rap sheets of my witnesses the judge would not overturn my conviction or even reopen the case. The irony is that the judge relied on these same people to convict me but to overturn the conviction she could not rely on their testimony. I deserve justice!
